Ben has been involved with NEYT since its very first show in 1998, "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Though young, Ben is a seasoned director in his own right: He became NEYT's first student director in the summer of 1999 and he directed the well-received "Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged)" in 2002 and "Harvey" in 2006. Ben has also worn a great number of hats during NEYT's Summer Programs: he has directed students in Melodrama Camp, taught Shakespearean analysis and technique in Shakespeare's Greatest Scenes, stage managed 2008's "Taming of the Shrew," and performed onstage in alumni productions and cabarets. Ben is currently enrolled at Lesley College in Cambridge, MA, where he studies Drama and Creative Writing, and is an intern at the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company.
"NEYT is a blessing on this community. I feel privileged to be in a position to pass knowledge and experience on to the kids here. I enjoy every minute that I spend at NEYT, and hope that I am here for a great many more of them.
