  Has Shakespeare written a rollicking pirate story? The answer is yes, if you
can believe a Midsummer Night's Dream with Theseus as a pirate captain,
Hippolyta as an Amazon who'd be happy to sail away and go back to
worshipping the moon, Lysander and Demetrius who'd love to adventure at sea,
six ragged, scurvy sailors putting on a silly play, and not a fairy
anywhere: only mermaids, water nymphs, sea creatures, and a Son of Neptune.
