Circus Minimus Returns to Brattleboro this summer!

 
Sponsored by the New England Youth Theater and Circus Minimus-The Circus Kids Create-returns for a two-week residency July 7 - July 18. Artistic Director Kevin O'Keefe, a former instructor for the Big Apple Circus in NYC, brings 30 years of teaching circus all over the world to Brattleboro kids. New to the SM staff this year will be Jen Taylor from the LAVA acrobatic troupe in NYC and local performance artist Matt McDonald of Gallery Walk fame. At Circus Minimus they’ll direct and instruct ordinary kids in their very own extraordinary circus show. This year’s theme is, drumroll please…The GREEN Circus. Fifty students ages 7-13 will study sustainability practices inspired by the green movement as they create their very own circus. Kids will study introductory tumbling, clowning, juggling, tightwire, partner acrobatics and more. The public is invited to the culminating event.
