Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew

Presented by NEYT's Summer Senior Shakespeare Program 

Katherine’s sharp tongue and fiery temper are no lure for suitors, who flock instead to her gentle younger sister, Bianca. Katherine may, however, have met her match in Petruchio, an adventurous newcomer in town who devises a startling way of reaching her so carefully guarded heart. Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew is a no-holds-barred battle of the sexes that’s as hilarious as it is controversial.  Expect sizzling verbal repartee, riotous fight sequences, live music and superior skill from NEYT's senior company of actors, under the direction of Rebecca Waxman.

Performances of The Taming of the Shrew are on Fri & Sat July 11 & 12 at 7:30 pm and Sat & Sun July 12 & 13 at 3:00 pm.
