We invite our NEYT family to let us know your thoughts about launching a Parents and Friends of NEYT Association. The idea has been raised by a number of people. We have agreed to work with the Board, and the NEYT staff to assess interest. If you believe it is a good idea, can you please send us a short e-mail with your skills, capabilities, interests, and availabilities? Mostly, we are trying to get a sense for the following:
a) do people believe it is a good idea,
b) if so, how might such an Association function and what might it do, and
c) how might you see yourself getting involved?
There are many ways in which parents and friends can help NEYT, from carpentry to seamstress work, from bulk mailings to helping imagine and organize events that continue to build an NEYT community (organizing potlucks, etc.).
We will take the information and try to craft something that represents the various ways in which parents might be interested in becoming involved, and how we might be able to serve as a resource for NEYT.
We are fortunate to have NEYT in our community. This is our way, as parents, to be supportive in the midst of our busy lives. We hope to hear from you!
