Stephen Stearns: A Celebration

Whether you know him as Stephen Stearns, Uncle Stevie or the director of your child's play, there is no denying Stephen Stearns' profoundly positive impact on our community and on hundreds upon hundreds of children's lives.

Eighteen years ago, armed with only a dream and determination, Stephen convinced top talent to work side-by-side with him to build a cultural tour-de-force that today employs 46 full- and part-time artists and serves more than 500 students from three states and the U.S. territory of St. John in the Virgin Islands.

Over the years at NEYT, Stephen has worn many hats--director, singing coach, history teacher, choreographer, producer, handyman, ticket salesman, publicist, fundraiser, caterer, chief cook & dishwasher,  and, of course, clown.

On March 12th, we salute our humble clown's legacy and his many achievements as he dons the mantle of Trustee Emeritus of NEYT.
In this new role, Stephen will focus on what he loves most--working with children as a director, teacher and clown, as well as contributing to the creative spirit of NEYT.

Won't you please join us on March 12th?

Where: Dalem's Chalet, 78 South St., West Brattleboro
