Transfixed! Art Contest

Celebrate our production of Transfixed! by entering our art contest! Find out how to enter below!

Create a work of art from one of the following prompts:

Who is your Magical Self? If you were from a magical world, who or what would you be? A witch, a wizard, a fairy, a troll, or some other creature that you have created in your mind? Show us your magical self and give us two or three sentences about who you are!

Create a Fantasy Book Cover. Is there a story you wish could be written? Are you a fan of fantasy stories? What would your ultimate fantasy story look like? Illustrate the cover of your book and tell us what it’s about in two or three sentences.

Contest Rules: Anyone can submit their art, but only children ages 5-18 will be eligible to win the grand prize. Art must be 2D on paper and not framed, your art will be held up by magnets on our lobby gallery wall. Art should not be any bigger than 8.5” wide or 11” tall. Any medium except anything AI-generated accepted! Drawings, photography, paintings, collage, you name it! We will even accept digital art as long as it’s printed out (let us know if you need recommendations)…and not Ai! Art must be submitted to the front desk at NEYT (100 Flat Street) before Tuesday, May 26th at 5pm. ALL SUBMISSIONS WILL BE PUT UP ON OUR WALL, THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUR ART TO BE SEEN!

Stock up on art supplies at Zephyr Designs, and get some inspiration by visiting Ray Gun Comics or Everyone’s Books! Need a place to print your photo or digital artwork? Head to Vermont Center for Photography for your printing needs.

Please fill out this form and submit it along with your artwork. Submit your art early and we will do a social media post featuring your work!

Judging Every audience member who attends a showing of Transfixed! Will be able to cast one vote for their favorite work of art. The work of art with the most votes will win a grand prize! Invite your friends and family to see a show and vote for your work!

Tie Breaker If there is a tie, the cast of Transfixed! Will choose the winner!

The Grand Prize A gift basket comprised of prizes generously donated by downtown businesses: Zephyr Designs, Ray Gun Comics, Everyone’s Books, and the Brattleboro Co-op!
