For ages 14-19, Viewpoints is a way to understand that acting is not only about emotion, but also about an understanding of how to use the space of the stage and the timing of speech and movement. Viewpoints offers the actor a wider range of choices, from bolder to subtler. It wakes up the instincts so these choices are instantaneous. If you have taken time to make a choice, you have missed your moment. Anne Bogart, the developer of Viewpoints, has said, "Theater is about moving Time and Space." Viewpoints is a way to do this.
