Mikey Pion

Mikey Pion (they/them) is a local theatre educator, director, designer, technician, and performer! Mikey graduated Cum Laude from Keene State College in 2022 with a B.A. in Directing for Theatre as well as a B.S. in Elementary Education. They are the proud leader and director of the Hinsdale Middle/High School Drama Club which they expanded in 2022. Since expansion, Mikey has led productions of Matilda the Musical, Shrek The Musical Jr, and Beetlejuice Jr! They primarily work at MoCo Arts in Keene as Technical Coordinator, though that encompasses many roles such as Stage Manager, Props Designer, Outreach Teacher, Teaching Artist, Director and much more. Mikey is also a core ensemble member at OUT LOUD Theatre in Providence, RI where they co-direct originally devised works when able to travel.  Mikey is also a local drag queen who performs all around New England and prides themself on being a queen who makes all their own props, outfits and sound designs. Mikey also occasionally works in social work for LGBT+ youth and tutors young emerging readers. Outside of work, you can usually find Mikey reading a book in a cozy corner, completing a random creative project, walking in nature, enjoying media, or singing everywhere they go!
