Please join New England Youth Theatre (NEYT) for an evening of bowstrings, bullseyes and benevolent beguilement as NEYT’s Junior Company presents Robin Hood (or, How Robin Hood Became Robin Hood, and How He Met His Friends, Had Several Adventures, Gave Up His Outlaw Life, and Became an Immortal Political and Economical Organizer)! Written by Peter Gould and directed by John Hadden, this production of Robin Hood has a topsy-turvy tumble of silly puns, fantastical feats of derring-do, archery contests, and of course, heroic deeds of proactive wealth redistribution!

NEYT’s Junior Company features performers ages 9–13 who, under the guidance of expert teaching artists, create onstage stories with heart, humor, and joy. Recent productions include sold-out runs of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and The Hobbit. Every child gets a role in NEYT’s Junior Company productions, with no auditions and no exclusions. The result is an ensemble-driven performance full of creativity, inclusivity, and community spirit.

The production features costumes by Sandy Klein, sets by David Regan, lights and sound by Francesca Bourgeault, and is brought to life by NEYT’s youth-led crew of costumers and tech artists. As always, the Junior Company brings together professional-quality production values and the kind of fearless, fun storytelling only young performers can deliver.

Robin Hood will feature a one-of-a-kind opening act: directed by Cassidy Majer, Fearsome Folktales will be a unique retelling and remixing of fables by the Brothers Grimm.
