IMPORTANT UPDATE! Our Mask Making Workshop dates have CHANGED! If you or someone you know is still interested in signing up, there is still time! We are starting next week, on January 23rd, and will run until March 6th. There will be no session during Winter break, although there might be drop-in options.
Are you a creative type who enjoys sculpting (or who thinks you might?!)
Masks are all about CHARACTER; they can be used to create, exaggerate, or even hide a character. In our upcoming production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle, all of the actors will be using original "half-masks" to help define their characters.
SO, we're going to be setting up a Maskmaking Workshop, starting in mid-January, where together we will sculpt, cast, and paint more than twenty masks! Working from basic designs, the features of each character will be built with clay over existing plaster life-casts, covered with papier maché, painted, and readied for actors to wear.
Prepare yourself for a fun (and often-messy) whirlwind of fabrication as we help to create all the inhabitants for the onstage world of this play.
Sliding Scale Tuition:
